Robin Stops in St. Joe March 01st 2010

Robin made a campaign stop in St. Joe to Meet with local residents.

In an introduction, former state Sen. Sidney Johnson spoke of her accomplishments while in state office.

“I’ve never been disappointed in a Carnahan,” Mr. Johnson said. “She values people and she values families.”

In her speech, Ms. Carnahan outlined what she called three problems that need resolution: partisan bickering, a broken economy and a lack of accountability.

“I think Washington right now is broken,” she said. “If something breaks, what do you do? You fix it. Nobody really wants to fix anything.”

Consumer protection and safeguarding senior citizen interests were two accomplishments she listed as qualifications for the higher office.

“We know this is going to be really hard,” Ms. Carnahan said of the campaign. “This election is really the test. This is the time to be more determined than ever.”
